Sacramento's Premiere Blues Club
Torch club was one of the first bars in Sacramento established in 1934 the year prohibition ended In the past it was known as a watering hole for politicians and has become the most popular Blues Club in the Sacramento Area. Long-time fans appreciate the return of the house bands which included: The Lew Fratis Trio, Jimmy Pailer & the Prophets, Aaron King Trio, Stacie Eakes and the Superfreaks and Mind X. Newcomers will be attracted to the club by national acts including Terry Hanck, Janiva Magness, The Delgado Brothers, Shane Dwight, Volker Strifler, Mark Hummel, Mick Martin & the Blues Rockers, Daniel Castro Popa Chubby, Chris Cain, and so many more.

The dance floor is large and ready for dancing!

We are located at 904 15th Street (between I and J streets). Across the street from the Memorial Auditorium.

We feature the hottest blues bands from Sacramento, the Bay Area and national acts!

Lew Fratis Trio is a combination of Lew Fratis, Kenny Nichols and Dave Garrity and you get very passionate trio that will leave you wanting more!! Their energetic styles on stage provide a show that is sure to electrify any crowd and leave them wanting more.

Since 1991, Harley White Jr. has been a prominent figure on the Sacramento music scene in a wide array of roles, from pop recording artist and as a creative force, and a winning bassist. Then you have Aaron King, a guitar virtuoso and already a local legend. Some great music you do not want to miss.

The Nibblers are a seven piece throwback to the grimy funk and soul of yore using a tasty mix of obscure retro favorites and original music to fill the dance floors. The members of the Nibblers have played in venues from New York to San Francisco and now are pooling their skills to shake selected California venues. Stay tuned for updates.

Aaron King & the Imperials

Aaron is a guitar virtuoso and already a local legend. Playing with Sacramento luminaries such as the Chrome Addicts, Johnny Heartsman, Omar Sharriff, Little Charlie & the Nightcats and Harley White Jr., as well as his own band the Imperials, King is renowned as an accomplished guitarist in the style of B.B. King.

Shane Dwight
Cover $10

Contemporary blues can smoke, when it is done with spirit and when it has got class. Shane Dwight has both. Singing and playing lead guitar, he is on target every time, rocking, authentic blues delivered by a great front man... hand it to Dwight for the type of set that brings boogie back to the blues with a vengeance as evidenced in his sweaty live shows.

Gino Matteo

A true student of life, Gino performances are spontaneous, explosive, and original- a triple threat to the music world. Gino is the definition of an old soul with a voice as smooth as velvet but tough as nails. Gino writes music about his life as he lives it. His love, joy, and pain pour through his guitar and voice.

Monophonics

The Bay Area music scene has been setting standards for many decades. The Monophonics are another prime example of the talent spewing forth from the streets of San Francisco and surrounding areas. With their retro sound, style, and approach, they have become one of the hottest upcoming live instrumental funk bands with inspirations stemming from the late 1960s and 1970s. This has gained them recognition as young heavy-hitters in the soul, jazz, and funk community.

Ron Hacker

Ron has played every major festival in Northern California, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, the San Francisco Blues Festival and the Marin County Blues Festival. Ron has also toured extensively in Europe playing major festivals in Belgium, Holland, Denmark, and Norway.

Hamilton Loomis

Hamilton Loomis took his mentor, Bo Diddleys advice. It speaks volumes when the likes of Diddley, Johnny Clyde Copeland, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, and Albert Collins take you under their wings. The twenty-something Texas sensation is not just another cat-in-a-hat with a Strat. He has crafted his blues roots into a funk-a-fied recipe all his own.

Terry Hanck

Native Terry Hanck is a hard-blowing tenor saxophonist who moved to California in 1967. He was a member of Elvin Bishop Band for more than a decade. There are not many sax players leading bands these days, so it is refreshing to hear music that combines the high-octane honking of Red Prysock and Big Jay McNeely and the raucous wailing of King Curtis and Lee Allen.

Q-Balls Benefit for the Albie Aware Foundation

The Q-Balls, a Sacramento, California based band playing classic rock & roll music from the 60s to the 80s. This charismatic group is ready to deliver rhythm, energy and musical joy.

The Hucklebucks

They have been doing over 200 dates a year, taking their live show all over California. The Hucklebucks are from Sacramento, California and play Jump, Boogie, Swing Shuffles and Blues. Their goal is to get and keep you dancing.

Andy Santana

Andy Santana is a smooth, dynamic vocalist and harmonica player with a sophisticated, urban style. Veteran West Coast musician and producer Andy Santana is a talented and highly respected singer and musician. He has performed and recorded with whose who of roots and blues talent over the course of his 30 plus years in the music business.

Lara Price
Cover $7

Lara is based in the San Francisco Bay area, Lara has built quite a top-notch band, Lara can belt out a song, purr through a ballad, knock you out with her sensuality and make you want to get up and dance.
