Blind Pig artists Contino are in the house tonight..  A thick mix of Blues, Americana, Cajun and Roots and a fat list of fans in North America and Europe. Get a taste here,  then get in here , because we don’t see these boys ’round here near enough.  This is a don’t miss, people.

OK, follow along.. this is good:  “Jelly Bread is the combination of a pumping rythm section that grew up together playing in a gospel band, an award-winning singer/songwriter who aproaches music from a Ben Harper/John Butler point of view, rootsy funk/rock guitar licks with a bit of dirt under the nails, and three part male-female vocal harmonies that add textures as rough as sandpaper, and as soft as velvet.”  Told you.  Don’t miss this.

Bringin’ the band in to bust up the place.. Bone-Style.  Take up a barstool, get yourself a cold one and .. just watch it go down.  Awesome.

Right from the boys’:  “Blues Baby Blues, thats what We do, thats what We love.”  Mmmm…  so good. What more do you need to know?

Solsa lands tonight at the Torch Club, bringing their own patented butt-shaking version of Latin, R&B, Soul, and more.  Undeniably one of Sacramento’s premiere party bands, it promises to be a hot sweaty night at the Torch.

Tonight! Ask Sophie

Ask Sophie brings an eclectic blend of dark roots Americana bearing down on the listener like runaway freight train, conjuring up the acoustic liveliness Americana is known for! The trio delivers a tasty meal of not so well-known favorites blended with a smart mixture of political sass, murder ballads and sharp edged original tunes, all coming together to let audiences know that Americana is alive and kicking ass.

The youngest of three brothers and the son of two musicians, Graham Patzner didn’t have much choice. Starting on piano at age five and then moving on to violin, trumpet and guitar, the Whiskerman singer and front-man has cultivated a unique sound that is hard to pinpoint. His voice ranges from smoky to soaring, while his songs span a wide array of moods and genres, yet always remain soulful. Behind him is a tight band that includes brother Lewis Patzner (Judgement Day, Devotionals) on cello, Will Lawrence on bass,Nick Cobbett on drums, and Charles Lloyd (Cash Pony) on guitar and sitar. Collectively they form Whiskerman, and they are quickly becoming a force in the San Francisco Bay Area.

For all those out there itchin’ and scratchin’ for some low down dirty blues…  Kevin Russel’s in the house tonight…..  The Motor City born and raised Kevin Russell has a very unique blend of rock and soul. Kevin says: “It’s a Motor City thing!” Kevin is a contemporary artist known in hip musical circles and by fans worldwide. He is a provocative player and his daring spirit is always apparent. ” it’s all blues to me anyway baby”

Are you kidding me?  These cats have a Wiki:  MercyMe is an American Christian rock band founded in Greenville, Texas. The band consists of vocalist Bart Millard, keyboardist James Bryson, percussionist Robby Shaffer, bassist Nathan Cochran and guitarists Michael Scheuchzer and Barry Graul.  How cool is that?  Heck..  To us they’re just Sacramento’s Best Party Band.
