TONIGHT: KB AND THE SLINGTONES, WITH NICKEL SLOTS

KB & The Slingtones are moving up fast as one of Sacramento’s favorite Rockabilly swing-dancing & Honky-Tonkin bands, with clean musical sounds, keeping with the traditions of the 1950’s. They originated in 2007 with lead singer “KB” and upright bass player “John E”. In 2009 guitarist, “Billy Clayton” joined the pack and in 2010, “Brandon Big Rigg Riggens”  filled the drummer’s shoes. This is a Rockabilly & Honky Tonk band that brings the 50’s back to life with influences of Patsy Cline, Janis Martin, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Wayne Hancock, Wanda Jackson, Elvis Presley and that’s just naming a few.

Tonight in a double bill, Nickel Slots joins as an alt-country, Americana-styled roots rock band out of Sacramento, formed in ’08 and can best be described as Johnny Cash country with a punk veneer.
