Jeff Jones tonight!

A crowd favorite in the Tahoe, California region, the Jeff Jones Band presents an intriguing blend of loose, R&B-tinged blues-rock à la the Faces with a Dave Matthews-like pop jam band veneer, all topped off by Jeff Jones’ stellar slide guitar skills and his strong, slightly hoarse vocals which bear a strong resemblance to Chris Robinson’s vocal work with the Black Crowes. A great way to get the weekend started!

Grant Farm rolls in tonight

For your Wednesday night, the Torch Club brings Grant Farm from Colorado for your dancing and listening pleasure. Their self-described sound is Roots, Rock and CRIS-CO! A play of a few tracks from their website reveals influences of folk, bluegrass, country disco and slide guitar with some Derek Trucks/Allman Brothers tones. Come in and have a listen!

West of Next tonight.

It’s Tuesday and time to start your music week again. Tonight’s headliners are West of Next, whose music is based on a new approach called Western Rock and Bop. If you can picture original compositions from “an era that hasn’t happened yet”, you know exactly what I’m talking about. What? You don’t? Bonnie Bishop is here tonight!

All the way from Nashville, Bonnie Bishop takes the Torch Club stage tonight. Currently working on an album slated for release this fall, Bonnie’s sound has evolved from her Americana and Texas music roots to incorporate driving rock rhythms on her guitar and piano. A prolific songwriter whose compositions come from the heart and her personal experience, Bonnie is a great addition to the Torch Club calendar. Get your weekend off to the best possible start by coming out to bask in her talent and support her tour.
